Saving Money

One of my New Years Resolution involves saving money.  We are doing ok, but I know we could do so much better. saving-money1

We have officially set up a budget. A real, hard core, every cent laid out budget. It was tough seeing it all written down on paper. A little intimidating to be honest.

But this is the one resolution I am going to keep! I am going to stick to this budget like white on rice.

My kids will have everything they need and even somethings they want, but I will do it as frugally as possible.

I am clipping coupons, checking out ads, menu planning, looking into once a month cooking, cooking from scratch, cutting the boys hair myself,  and shopping around for auto and homeowner insurance. Of course I also do other things, like washing our cloths in cold water, cutting off a light when not in a room, unplugging non-essential appliance(except the coffeepot cause come on, its soooo essential), and switching to the new energy efficient light bulbs

I could always use more tips and ideas for saving money!
