Today we are talking Favorite Books.
Oh man. I love to read. Books and music are two of my favorite things. Reading can get me into trouble though. After I have watched my shows at night while laying in bed, I turn on my little lamp and I start reading. This means I end up staying later than I should and since I get up super early to work out, this becomes a problem.
Here are a few of my favorite books:
To Kill a Mocking Bird- Everyone has read this one right? English class in High School? No? INSANITY! Go check it out at your library or buy it! A must read!
The Sookie Stackhouse Series- You know those books that help give True Blood such great ideas and story lines? That’s right, those books that brought up Eric. {le sigh}
The Hunger Games- I fought these books for a while. Just because. I am so glad I read them and I am even more thrilled that they are being made into a movie!
The Twilight Saga- Yep. You knew I was going there. I fought these books too. I swore I would never read them. I did not want to give into the hype. Even when I was on bedrest for 3 week and was dying for something to do I did not read them. Then, for some strange reason when my 3rd son was born I was compelled to start reading them. You know, because all new moms have so much time to read. I was HOOKED! Reading as I sat up and fed him. I could not put them down! I borrowed the first two but it would be days before I could get the last 2. I COULD NOT WAIT! I sent hubby out to buy the whole set. In Hardback. And yes I have read them all 14 times now. I am also confident in that I will read them again before Breaking Dawn Part 1 comes out.
I really wish I could think of more books. I do love to read but right now my mind is mush and these are all I can think of.
I can share with you what is on my Kindle at the moment:
How to Build a Exceptional Life by Jillian Michaels
Bel Ami
Cosmopolis
The Help
Calm My Anxious Heart
Five Conversations you Must Have with your Daughter
Mom’s Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girl World
What are you reading right now?
Water for Elephants- If you can get past the animal cruelty it is a fabulous book. It was difficult to read at those parts but I just kept telling myself that those things happened back in. It was really neat to read and envision what the circus was like back then.
I also love to read poetry. Emily Dickenson, Williams Wordsworth, Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, and even Shakespeare.
