For the Locals: Snip Its #Houston New Location!

by Lori on April 10, 2012

Snip-its, one of the country’s fastest-growing chains of children’s hair salons, is opening in Houston, TX the weekend of March 23.

Owned by local couple (and parents), Alane and Wesley Middleton, Snip-its will be the Houston metro area’s fifth kids-only salon and
will offer: haircuts; spa services; birthday parties; a retail space with hair care products, toys and accessories;
and more.

The Grand Opening of their new location will take place on Saturday, April 14 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 15 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. at 1379 S. Voss Rd, just behind Carrabba’s.

Children will enjoy music and games by Radio Disney, face painting, and more on Saturday, April 14th, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.!
As part of its grand opening, Snip-its Houston will donate 15% of its proceeds from the grand opening to Kids’ Meals, Inc., a Houston not-for-profit that delivers meals to 1,400 pre-school aged children, living in poverty who are in need of food. Kids’ Meals delivers nutritious meals directly to the homes of these hungry children, Monday through Friday, all year-round.
In addition to fundraising efforts for Kids’ Meals, the Snip-its Corporation has partnered with the national Autism Speaks organization to create a haircutting guide for stylists and parents of children with autism. All of Snip-its’ stylists are trained to work with children with autism and other special needs. Snip-its Houston will allow parents of children with special needs to make haircut appointments on an on-going basis. (Appointments generally are not accepted.)
