My Kids Favorite Travel Pick: Great Wolf Lodge #Grapevine #travel #GreatWolf

by Lori on May 7, 2013

I recently asked my kids what was their favorite travel trip we did that was in Texas, one that they would want to do again this year.

It was unanimous.

Great Wolf.

It was their ultimate favorite trip in Texas. Even a year later, they are still talking about it and of course begging me to make the trip happen again.

Great Wolf is known for their amazing indoor water park which I will talk about shortly but I want to also tell you about their other great features.

MagiQuest was my kids favorite non-water park activity. Once we were done in the water park for the night the kids threw on their pajamas and ran around the resort to work on fighting the fire breathing dragon!

With a magic wand in-hand, you’ll explore an enchanted kingdom and join in the ultimate adventure as you enchant objects, befriend a pixie, learn from an ancient wizard, battle a goblin and outwit a dragon. We guarantee this live-action adventure game is unlike any other you’ve ever played. You’re sure to become legendary when the getaway you planned becomes epic.

They also have a great arcade, daily activities for kids, a outdoor pool and water park, and a kids spa! The pizza is fabulous by the way and a great dinner after a long fun day at the water park!

The hotel rooms are amazing! We had a themed suite and the kids LOVED it! Of course they fought over the top bunk(no worries, we traded each night) but what is not to love about a awesome area all to yourselves!

Now, the water park. LOVED IT! I never felt like it was too crowded which was a huge plus for me. There was maybe one ride my middle son could not do by himself but he was ok with that as long as he got to have fun on the others. My youngest even loved riding the slides that he could ride with an adult. The kids are was a lot of fun for him and the lazy river was a huge plus!

There really is something for children of all ages at Great Wolf. PLUS it brings families together. It really does! My bigger kids loved hanging out with their little brother in the kid area, sharing laughter and smiles.

I HIGHLY recommend you plan a trip to Great Wolf. The best part about it? Open year round! You do not have to worry about the weather when you plan a trip!

We are doing the great wolf yearly for Jacobs birthday….LOVE IT! My only recommendation is if you are light sleeper, take a portable fan….the rooms are not the most sound proof 🙂
