We recently had a family scare.
My husband’s brother was rushed to the ER with chest pains, tingling of the arms and legs and having trouble breathing.
He is only 38 years old.
Four years older than my husband.
**Update: No heart attack. He had fluid around his heart the doctor said was from a cold/allergy?**
My husband was shaken to say the least. Unimaginable that his older brother could have a scare like that. Unimaginable that someone of his age could have those symptoms.
We spent the weekend talking. Talking about life. Talking about what we were doing with ours. We talked about our health.
We have always tried to eat healthy but we sometimes fail.
We try to workout but we sometimes fail at that as well.
We have tons of excuses for both.
We are too busy taking the kids to ball to eat a well balanced meal. I miss eating out with friends. The kids did not sleep well last night so I was too tired to get up and workout. We don’t have time to fit a workout in.
I know we can make time for the things that are important to us. We make time to catch up the news. We make time to play on the Internet. We make time for church. We make time for our kids. We make time for our family. But it seems like we can not make time for ourselves and our health.
We have decided that now is the time.
Now is the time to REALLY make that time. Regardless of how tired we are and how busy we are, we need this. Our body needs this. Our kids need this.
We are committing to our health. Join us!
