Does your family cook together?
Families who cook together eat healthier.
Does your family eat at the table together?
Eating together at the table is very important. Not only will it strengthen your bond as a family, it is a great teaching moment for your children. This is the time you can sit and talk to them not only about how their day went, but about the food they are putting into their bodies. You can teach your children the importance of a good healthy diet.
Kroger has partnered up with Produce for Kids and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for a campaign called Get Healthy, Give Hope.
You can read more about it on Produce for Kids Facebook Fan page.
When you shop at your local Kroger and buy fresh produce and fruit from June 12th- July 9th, Kroger will make a donation to the Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals in your area!
The more fruit and veggies you buy, the more hope you can give to the children in your area.
This is the seventh year that Kroger has partnered with Produce for Kids, an organization that promotes the benefits of healthy eating and supports worthy causes for children. Together, Kroger shoppers and the participating fresh produce companies have raised more than $198,407 for local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals; 100% of all funds raised in Houston directly benefits Texas Children’s.

Our family eats together almost every single night. It is something that I did not do with my family when I was a child much so it is something I have always wanted to do with my children. Eating together is important. It instills unity and togetherness. My childrens also help in the planning of our meals and helping to get things ready. They help make the grocery list and pick the fruits and veggies to go with our meals for the week. Teaching my kids to eat healthy is very important to me.
Visit your local Kroger store today to stock up on your fruits and veggies.
Get Healthy and Give Hope.
