Unilever’s Don’t Fret The Sweat Guide

by Lori on October 7, 2010

This time of year means one thing: BUSY! Constantly going, going and going.  School, extra curricular activities, and the holidays. With all the running around its hard not to break a sweat and if you live in a super hot climate like we do, it is almost inevitable that you are going to sweat!

Recent research shows that kids now enter puberty earlier than ever, leaving tweens increasingly self-conscious about their appearance and identity, and making it all the more important to start a dialogue with your child to provide them with the necessary support to keep their confidence high.

M girl has always been a hard player. She likes to be outside and when it comes to playing a sport or just having fun with the kids in the neighborhood, she just plays hard! This playing hard leads to lots of nasty sweat and smells!  I started her out on a Dove Deodorant that was gentle on her skin and not to overly scented. She thought she was so cool getting to wear deodorant like a adult. Let’s face it, growing up is hard to do so taking this little time to explain to her what her body was going through and providing her with the “tools” and knowledge she needed really made all the difference in her confidence.

To ensure parents have the tools they need to maintain their tween’s confidence during the difficult transition from child to teenager, Unilever – the maker of Degree, Dove and Suave deodorants – has aligned with a roster of community partners and assembled a panel of experts to develop the educational website and resource DontFretTheSweat.com. Tweens face many sweat-inducing moments, but Unilever hopes to show parents that they can talk to their tweens about how the right deodorant can keep them free from odor, embarrassment and discomfort along the way.

Take a few moments and check out DontFretTheSweat.com and get the information on the physical and emotional changes your child is facing.
