The Subcompact Mitsubishi Mirage has been named the most affordable car in 2015 by Cars.com. It also is very fuel efficient getting 37/44MPG! Talk about savings on gas! With a savings like that you can take more road trips and we all know how much I love to travel!

Let me tell you though, this car is a back to basics model. Mitsubishi really wanted to get back to just making good quality, safe cars. No fancy bells and whistles. Just a nice car that will be safe and save you money. This car is meant for sensible transportation.

This car is perfect for a high school kid or even one of your kiddos going off to college. For my family it was a little on the small side but when I just had to take my daughter somewhere it was perfect for the two of us. The car does seat 5 total. As you can see in the pictures the leg room was small but could be made bigger by moving the front seats off if you are on the shorter side like this mom. Also, the room in the very back of the car was nice and quite unexpected. I was thinking there would be little to no room for groceries given the appearance on the outside.

This car, while basic, has some great features:

Push Button Start
Halogen headlights
Fog lights
Power windows and doors
14″ alloy wheels
USB port in glove compartment
Anti-lock braking system
Child safety door locks
Split folding back seat
LATCH child restraint system
Rear Camera Option

This car comes with RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) Construction which deflects and transfers energy away from its occupants. It was also named to the American Council of Energy Efficient Economy’s “Greenest Vehicles” list.

Mitsubishi Mirage has a starting MSRP of $12,995 and comes in 8 fun colors, including purple!
