Don’t Fret The Sweat Campaign~ With iPod Shuffle Giveaway

by Lori on July 29, 2011

Back in October I introduced you to a campaign called Don’t Fret the Sweat.

I have once again partnered with Unilever  to share their Don’t Fret the Sweat Campaign again. It is a fantastic resource that all parents can use.

Summer time is warm and is about freedom. Freedom from schedules and routines. The kids want to run while outside until the sun goes down. Summer time in Texas also means scorching heat! Heat=sweating. Sweating=odor.

M-girl has become very sporty lately. She has asked to be signed up to play softball and soccer this fall instead of her traditional cheer leading. This is going to mean lots of practices and games in the Texas heat. All these practices and games will mean lots of sweat and the unavoidable odor when you sweat. I do not want her to feel uncomfortable around all her new team mates because she is working hard at playing ball.

We headed to the Don’t Fret the Sweat Guide Match Maker to see what deodorant would be perfect for her. The Match Maker suggested the Degree Girl Friends Forever . We then talked about good personal hygiene so I think she is ready to go now.

GIVEAWAY TIME!

One Winner will win a Don’t Fret the Sweat Beach Bag valued at $137

I’m always complimenting my children for their good deeds and manners, and reassuring them when they fail that it is a lesson to learn from. My children always like the recognition whether it’s good or bad.

Woohoo, momma needs a new iPod! I’m feeling lucky this time! We stress with our son that effort is more important than outcome. As long as he tried his hardest, that’s good enough for us.

I make sure to lead by example, by having good manners, healthy habits. Plus, plenty of good compliments when my girls follow that example.

I encourage my girls to try new things. Sometimes they fail but often they succeed. I always tell them they never know what they might be good at until they try. And even if you aren’t great at something, keep trying and you might get better. And even if you don’t, it is still ok to not be perfect at everything, just don’t give up just because you aren’t good at something.

the matchmaker tool suggested the Honeysuckle and tea tree oil scent. I will have to watch for that one. :)

Jude July 29, 2011 at 1:11 pm

To boost the confidence of my kids, I focus on making sure that they don’t let other people get them down. Like when my dd was teased by the boys in her preschool class about her girlie Batman shirt and how it was Batgirl and “Batgirl is bad!”. I opened up a big Batman book I have and showed her Bat-Woman in action, fighting alongside Batman (couldn’t find a Batgirl immediately), and showed her that girls CAN be heroes too.

The matchmaker tool suggested the Degree Nature Effects (honeysuckle). I think dd is too young (and ds is WAY too young), but I can certainly consider it as they get older. ;-)
