Downtown Disney is a MUST for anyone traveling to Disney World.
Downtown Disney has tons of shopping options and the dining is awesome!
We visited Downtown Disney on a Friday night. That maybe was not the best idea. It was packed since it was Friday. My advice, plan to go during the week! Less crowds for sure.
We started off with dinner at T-Rex!
This place was awesome! It is just like Rain forest Cafe with decorative dining rooms and a seperate shopping area but it is done with dinosaurs instead of rain forest life. My kids love dinosaurs so we knew this would be a fun place for them.
Now, we have been to Rain forest Cafe in the past and the kids never eat the food. Shoot, hubby and I have had a difficult time finding something delicious to eat so we were a bit nervous about eating here. We took the leap though and I am so glad we did. The food at T-Rex was phenomenal. A thousand times better than Rain forest Cafe. My daughter even asked us to buy her a 2nd kids meal because she ate all of her first!
We then headed out to shop! Now, normally this would of been kinda fun but my kids are so indecisive when it comes to spending their money. This shopping trip was all about them too since they still have their Disney Dollars to spend. It was a long night of shopping and like I said earlier, it was packed! The stores are fantastic though and they all found something to buy so they could remember this trip forever!
They also have a stage where they had a DJ and he was getting the crowd of kids going and dancing most of the night! My kids really enjoyed that part of the evening!I really liked that they got everyone involved and made it a fun evening for the whole family.
Make sure to make Downtown Disney part of your vacation plans!

This truly sounds like an amazing time! Do you know if Disneyland offers the same “downtown” options? Perhaps that’s something I need to look at. We’ve decided next year would be a good year to go to Disney ourselves. My 6 year old has offered to donate his allowance into a huge jar which is our vacation fund. He’s beyond elated!
