This is part of a series of post documenting my families first family vacation to Orlando, Florida.
One stop on our first family vacation was Sea World in Orlando. We had been to Sea World San Antonio, Texas many times but I just knew we had to experience Sea World in Orlando on our trip.
Sea World is about educating their visitors on not only the animals they care for, but also how we can all do our part to help make sure the animals do NOT become extinct . My daughter learned a great deal about cleaning up the trash on beaches and land and how it can effect the wildlife and their environment.
I have to tell you. This was my kids favorite part of the trip. Every single time I ask them which part of the vacation was their favorite, their response “Sea World”.
We went at a good time of year too. The park was not packed and busy. It was NOT hot! Since the park was not full we were able to experience more than I think we would have if we had to wait in countless lines.
We were able to pet and feed sting rays not once, not twice, but three times. My kids thought this was so neat. They kept saying how slimy they were and how it felt like snot. Silly kids.
We were able to pet and feed the dolphins twice. This was the best part of the trip for me. I am a huge dolphin lover.
And we were able to experience something that few get to. We were able to go back and take a penguin encounter tour. THIS my friends was really the highlight of the trip for my kids. They were in aww and totally thrilled. Touching a penguin was the best! Yes, these kinds of things cost extra but totally worth it. These special encounters will be a great memory for your children and something they will truly not forget anytime soon.
Another favorite of the trip, the dolphin show! It was amazing! Such a spectacular event! My daughter left the arena declaring she wanted to be a dolphin trainer when she grew up. This show, for my family, was the best show in the whole park. It had tricks, dolphins, and even beautiful birds! This is the show I would make sure I saw before leaving the park!
We also saw the Killer Whale show. They had not yet started letting the trainers back into the water while we were there but overall still a great show to see. I loved seeing the mama killer whale with her baby the most.
Most people are all about Disney when they head to Orlando and forget about Sea World. I am urging you dear friends, take at least one day of your family vacation and go to Sea World! You will not regret it and those memories will stay with you forever. Your children not only get to have fun but they will learn a great deal at Sea World. They will learn how important it is to take care of the world we live in, not only for ourselves but for the gorgeous creatures we share this world with.
Make sure you stop here on your trip to Orlando! I can not wait to take my family back!
**Disclosure: I did receive free tickets for my family for a day at Sea World Orlando for my review. No other monetary compensation was made. All opinions are my own.

It look slike you had an AWESOME time! I didn’t know about the Penguine Encounter! I will have to look into that for our next family trip! My kids have been bugging me to go to Florida and I know it’s gonna be an EPIC trip once we go because I know that my inlaws will ALL want to go too! Do they do the “Dining with Shamu” thing there? We did that in San Antonio but the kids were too little to enjoy it – we’d definately want to do that if Florida offers it as well! So worth it!
Thanks for sharing!!!

Sea World is DEFINITELY someplace I want to take my kids when we go to Disney someday. I would love to see it, and I’m sure they would too!
Sounds like it was a blast!

We got to feed the stingrays at the San Diego Aquarium! They do feel like snot ha ha
I am so jealous of the Penguin Tour and the fact you got to touch a dolphin! We tried to touch one in the hands on Dolphin Tank thingy they had but he never came close enough!
Your kids look like they had a blast! No wonder it was their favorite part of the trip =)
What an awesome place to visit! I have been in the one in San Antonio before but will definitely consider the Florida one if we ever get to travel to Disney world
What an incredible time! You definitely have the wheels turning in my head for our first big family vacation, too!
