WaterPik EcoFlow Shower head Review + Giveaway #EcoFlow

by Lori on April 24, 2012

When most people think of low flow shower heads, they think their shower performance will suffer. Waterpik® EcoFlow® shower heads are engineered to save water and money without sacrificing a  great shower experience. Using the OptiFlow® technology – which optimizes the flow through the water channels and nozzles – , EcoFlow® shower heads improve spray force to deliver an invigorating shower experience and up to a gallon of water savings per minute ($100 savings), over traditional shower heads! It’s conservation without compromise.

Furthering its commitment to water conservation efforts, WaterPik is partnering with Wyland Foundation’s nationalMayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation in celebration of Earth Month, encouraging people to take the pledge to save water throughout April.  I took the online pledge and committed to wash only full loads of laundry, use refillable water bottles, and to water my lawn before 8 am.

WaterPik says that the hand held 1.5 gpm EcoFlow shower head will save you $90 annually on your water bill, based on the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2007 estimate that average showers last 10 minutes each.

The EcoFlow comes in 7 different configurations, with the 1.5 gpm hand held 5 mode shower head that I tested being the most expensive, at $49.99.

The EcoFlow 5 Mode (ECO-563) features:

  • 3-1/2″ Round Shower Head
  • Advanced OptiFLOW Technology
  • Spray Control Lever
  • Pause Control on Handle
  • 5 Ft Faux Metal Hose
  • Easy Clean Nozzles
  • Lifetime Warranty
  • 5 Spray Modes: Full Body Coverage, Concentrated Fan Spray, Circular Massage + Mist, Mist, Circular Massage

One of the most interesting features of the WaterPik EcoFlow is the spray control lever. At the base of the handheld portion of the shower head, there is a lever that allows you to reduce or increase the flow level.

WIN IT! One Reader can win their very own EcoFlow Shower Head!

I think I would prefer either the Full body coverage or the concentrated fan spray. I don’t usually care for the massage actions in the shower unless that is what I need at the moment, not for everyday. Great giveaway! Thanks

I think I would like the full body coverage for most of the shower, but the concentrated fan for rinsing my hair out. This is a great shower head, thanks for making it a give-away!

I think I’d use the full body spray most, but definitely need the concentrated fan spray to get the shampoo out.

I would like the full body coverage for every day use. I used to have something similar but not nearly as good as waterpic and the massage part was awesome on my back as well

I’d use the full body spray the most, but I also like the mist sometimes to wet my hair.

I like a hard shower spray so probably would experiment with the concentrated fan spray mode! :)
