Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Review #VeryBadDay

by Lori on October 14, 2014

I sent my friend and movie review buddy Tauyna with her family to see Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day last week.

As you can see from the picture, they loved it! You can read her review below and then head to the theaters because this movie is in theaters NOW!

At the beginning the family seems not to notice that their 3rd child life is not like everyone else in the family. Alexander just can’t seem to catch a break, he gets excited for his 12th birthday but the day before the cool kid in school plans his huge awesome party on the same day! Alexander quickly finds out that no one will be coming to his party now. At dinner that night before his birthday everyone is talking about how awesome their day has been and how blessed they are. At that point Alexander shouts out saying that he is canceling his party and that he is cursed. Still no one seems to take him seriously and they won’t let him cancel his party. Later that night he makes a wish asking wishing that his family could understand what it’s like to be him. Well… a little like “Freaking Friday” the next morning everyone’s life started falling apart, except for Alexander’s!! With a great message that no matter what life throws about you nothing matters more family. If we stick together and love each other through the chaos we can get through anything! Alexander tells his family that sometimes you have to have the bad days to really enjoy the good days. As a family with 3 kids and another one on the way I really feel more like Alexander everyday! This movie is great for all families to remember that bad days doesn’t have to ruin everything else. The best family movie of 2014 that we have seen.
